My name is Gerrit van der Meer and I was born and raised in Hamburg Germany.
I studied drums, music composition, -arrangement & bandtraining at the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg and have participated in many projects, musicals, theatre performances and music groups.
Furthermore, I completed a two-year training as a singer at the “School for Stage Singing” with Johannes Schaefer, which included many acting facets and challenging emotional integration.
For 20 years, I have worked part-time as a music teacher for drums and guitar, and as a music coach, I teach singing and advanced healing methods in my own studio, where I also develop and continually compile new course topics for the online Seelenraum Zoom groups.
Gerrit is a composer, music producer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, singer, live musician, performer, studio engineer, as well as experienced in audio mixing and mastering, video productions, multimedia approach.
Since 2017, I have been a client of spiritual healer SANANDA in the energetic and spiritual transformation process.
In my work, I also incorporate Asian and progressive healing methods such as „Tao-Noetic Surgery“ and „Qi-Mag Quantum Healing“ – a high-energy energy work developed by Dr. Jes T.Y. Lim, Grandmaster of TCM and Quantum Healing – and „Mental-Emotional Healing“ developed by Jenny Postatny.
Since 2001, I have been producing many of my own compositions in my music studio for radio, internet and television (RTL, Sat 1, Pro Sieben, Klassik-Radio, BR-Space Night, WDR, NDR, RBB, Cafe del Mar, Hotel Costes and many others) for the projects “Gerrit van der Meer” and “Orbient”.
